Fellowship (“koinonia”) is a sharing or participation in that which we have in common. In Christ we are one body. Being in relationship with one another is vital to our Christian community.

Members and regular attendees of FUMCT enjoy spending time together. Connecting with other people doesn’t occur just by coming to worship once a week.

Small groups and fellowship opportunities are the way that folks grow and develop friendships and supportive relationships. One way we get to know each other better is through our FELLOWSHIP opportunities. Much of our fellowship happens informally as members meet up for a meal after church or host a cookout or pool party during the summer. Several times a year, we plan official church-wide fellowship events to intentionally gather the entire community together. In the past, we have biked the Virginia Creeper Trail, braved the zip lines at The Beanstalk Journey and traveled to Grandfather Mountain for a picnic and hiking.

There are lots of opportunities to engage in the fellowship of believers at First United Methodist Church in Taylorsville and we hope you will join us on the journey to koinonia.

The M&M’s (Methodist & Moving)

The M& M’s is a group of adults who enjoy fellowship with one another and taking short trips together. Day Trips are planned monthly to a variety of venues including The Seagrove Potteries, Billy Graham Library, Catawba Queen Riverboat, movies and restaurants. We welcome anyone to join us on our adventures.
